Dear America II

Dear America,

I just had a friend at my table for hot tea. Call him a friend. He's under my roof. He is Caucasian. he is in his 40s. He seems to be a decent guy. He's also a bit naïve. He owns a pickup truck, but small and clean.- not red. He is not Christian and doesn't look old. He drinks, but he doesn't go hunting or fishing, nor listen to country music. He doesn't own a gun nor is a fan. He is who he is, and I enjoy talking with him. He freely expresses what's on his mind. He told me that black folks hate: I don't know but in my own words white American or just American. We will discuss that later. America! This story is going to be long. Please sit tight, buckle up, and read along the lines. Here I come to understand, there is racist and naïve folks. We can let the system be accountable for the latter. Racist/ racism is to control, degrade another group or race, or individual over profit and self greed. In doing so, creating economic disparity, and giving birth to naïve person.- with the brain that anyone who looks or talks different then them is a threat to their family, country, religion, tradition, economy and needs to be kept away. There lays no profit, only delusion and poverty. And everything else that comes with poverty. Racist/ racism is evil and wealthy. The last time I spoke to King, he told me he wasn't coming back. Even Malcom X, Jean Jacques Dessalines, Toussaint Louverture, John Brown declined the offer. They just can't come back. They told me rather: waste no time fighting those folks, it's a mental hook. Instead join the naïve, the ones that would be willing to sit with you and speak their mind regardless. America! remodeling our educational system is becoming inevitable given the arguments of what is or not appropriate to teach in school. In my experience, I keep only 20 percent of what I learned in school and add 80 percent of life experience resulting in who I am today. Kind of like what most people have to go through. Technically we really can't remember most of the things learned in school. Here comes the opportunity to equip the children in ourselves with good materials.

My friend, There is very little account in history that justifies black on white hatred. The one most people talk about and aware of is the Haitian Revolution towards a free, independent, revolted slave, and first black republic. Well my friend it is still not going well there. I would picture that more as a survival instinct, but what followed after was the legalization of racism, and Haiti had to pay the fees. Haiti is pure manifestation of how effectively racist ideas took souls. To my understanding, black folks do not hate white people. They are just dealing with some generational trauma that disabled them to trust and feel safe around you. Good knowledge is the cure, but I meant honest conversation.

I don't think my answer changes much. Its going to be a long long long road. But, guess what? it falls into the category of a Journey. Quoting Lao Tzu, The Journey of a thousand miles begin with a step. Also happy to know, a mind stretched by a new idea never return to its original dimension. That will work on all of us: black, brown, red, orange, pink, white, blue, purple, native, immigrant... name it and call it...

Ending this note here with y'all on my thought.

Let's face it and fix it...

Until soon
